Batch and expiry tracking

Answer a recall in minutes

Every lot in Expodite carries its supplier lot number, origin, manufacture and expiry dates. When a buyer, FSSAI or APEDA asks about a lot, one screen shows where it came from and which shipments it left on.

  • What you hold, what is promised and what is on the way
  • Stock nearing expiry in plain view
  • Every change recorded with a name and a date

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Stock arrives with its batch

Each goods receipt creates a batch with its lot, manufacture and expiry dates. Stock you already hold can be added with a reason.

  2. Step 2

    Watch stock by product

See each product's stock, what is promised to orders, what is free to sell, what is on the way and what it is worth. Filter by location or by expiry.

  3. Step 3

Open a batch when you need answers

The batch page shows the lot's details, where it came from, where it went, and the certificates and photographs attached to it.

The recall screen

Where a lot came from, and where it went

A buyer's lab rejects a consignment. You need to know which other shipments carried the same lot, fast. The batch page traces it back to where you bought or made it, and forward to the shipments and invoices it left on. Certificates and photographs stay with the batch.

  • Supplier lot number and country of origin on every batch
  • Traced back to the receipt and the purchase order
  • Traced forward to the shipments and invoices it left on
Expiry in view

See what is expiring while there is still time to sell it

Filter the stock list for stock that has expired or will expire soon. On each product page, the oldest stock is always at the top, so it can be sold first.

  • Expired and expiring stock in one click
  • Oldest batches shown first
  • Expiry write-offs recorded with a reason
Honest numbers

Overselling shows up, it is never hidden

When orders promise more than you hold, the shortfall is shown plainly, not hidden. You also see what is on the way, before you promise more to a buyer.

  • Shortfalls shown in red
  • Stock on the way shown beside stock in hand
  • Products running short easy to find
A ledger, not a spreadsheet

Every change has a reason and a name

Stock is kept as a ledger. Nothing is edited away. Every adjustment needs a reason, such as damage, samples or a stock count. Move stock between locations and its cost moves with it. Export the full history whenever you need it.

  • Adjustments with a reason, logged by name and date
  • Transfers between locations carry the cost
  • Full stock history, ready to export

Questions

Can Expodite trace a lot for a recall?

Yes. Open the batch page. It shows the supplier lot, country of origin and dates, where the lot came from, and the shipments and invoices it left on.

How do I see stock that is close to expiry?

Filter the stock list for expired stock or stock expiring soon. Each product page also lists its batches with the oldest first.

Can I keep stock in more than one location?

Yes. Stock is held by location, the stock list can be filtered by location, and you can transfer stock between locations. The cost travels with the stock.

What stops someone quietly changing stock figures?

Stock is a ledger. Every change is recorded with the user's name and the date, and adjustments need a reason. Nothing is edited away.
