How it works

  1. Step 1

    Set what you want priced

    For freight, choose the charges every forwarder must quote. For goods, list what you need and how much. Your target price stays private.

  2. Step 2

    Send and collect quotes

    Each vendor gets a private link and quotes from a phone. You see who has replied, and reminders go out before the due date. Rates sent by WhatsApp or phone can be recorded too.

  3. Step 3

    Compare and award

    Compare quotes side by side and award with a reason. A freight award sets the confirmed freight cost on the shipment. A goods award raises a draft purchase order.

A blank is not a zero

The cheapest quote on paper cannot win by leaving charges out

When a vendor does not price a charge, Expodite never treats it as free. So the quote that looks cheapest does not win just by leaving things out. You see the likely total cost of the shipment, which is often not the lowest freight rate.

Questions

Do vendors need to log in to send a quote?

No. Each vendor gets a private link by email and quotes on a page that works well on a phone. They can update the quote until the due date, or decline.

What if a forwarder sends rates on WhatsApp or over the phone?

Record it yourself. Paste the message and Expodite fills the quote and marks anything it is unsure of. The vendor is then asked to confirm the rates on their link.

Does Expodite choose the vendor for me?

No. You decide. Expodite shows the likely total cost of each quote, and you award with a reason. You are warned if an award would leave too little margin on your quotation.

What happens after I award?

A freight award sets the confirmed freight cost on the shipment. A goods award raises a draft purchase order with the quoted lines, rates and delivery date.

Can an RFQ be linked to an export order?

Yes. Link an RFQ to a shipment, a sales order or a quotation and its details are copied in. In Expodite's export management software, the quote, the award and the cost stay on one record.
